' As the truck was nearing her, almost about to hit. She didn't feel as something powerful pushed her out of trucks way. She was in shock at that moment, and as she hit the ground. She passed for a long moment.
As she woke up from her coma she felt warm arm around her, holding her close. As she realizes that she gets startled a little bit and about to scream. But the figure interrupted that, by holding his hand on her mouth. So she should keep it shut.
It was hard for her to see him. But she knew it was a male figure.
'' Shush...'' Figure said to her quietly.
She didn't really feel like trying to struggle herself free, since she knew it would be useless.
After a long moment. '' ..... Okay.'' He let out a small sigh, and glanses at Marina.
'' Be more carefull next time, will you?'' He scolded her little bit.
It was understable.. But she just didn't see the truck coming.
'' mhhmm..'' She tried to thank him for it.
''.....'' He removes his hand from blocking her mouth. '' You should keep it quiet in here, y'know.''
''..Why? And.. Who are you?'' She asked him curiosly, finally having a chance to see him better.
'' 'Cause this is the Purple forest.. And I'm Daren.'' He looked pretty much.. Human like. Only thing that's off in him is his animal ears and tail. And of course kinda strange clothin.
''..Are those real..? '' She asked him while staring.
''Hm..? What do you mean?'' He raised his brow and wondered.
'' Those ears and tail.. Are they real?'' she pointed.
'' .. Of course they are. What else would they be.. Fake?''
She haven't never met anyone like him before. So she was little nervous. she didn't know was this guy good or bad. But hoping for good.. She glansed around the forest. Seeing it incredibly purple. The path was shining mix of green and yellow. The forest was beautiful.. While it's scent fresh and fruity, which she liked.
''.....I don't know.'' She replied for him, unsure.
He gave a sigh, and let go of his grip. While standing up and about to leave her be.
''.. Wait-!'' She panicked. And grabbed on his shirt. Not wanting him to leave her alone in this strange forest. ''Don't leave me alone.. I don't even know where am I.. So please.''
'' I cannot help you, miss. I'm sorry.'' He tried to stay cool.
''...Why can't you? I just want back home that's all.. I don't even know how I suddenly got here.. So..'' She tried to keep words coming but didn't come up with anything necessary for this situation.
But would she really mind staying in this forest. It's so alluring. And doesn't seem so harmful.
'' I'm afraid that's not possible.. '' He thought of it oudloud, quietly. It sounded kinda like whispering.
''.. Hm?'' She looked at him wondering, still kinda afraid of the thought of left all alone.
'' ..Nothing.'' He shooks his head, having his gaze on her.
'' Can I give you an advice?'' He asked her.
She nodded. '' Sure.''
''Whatever happens, don't trust the darkest elves. Understand?'' Daren looked quite serious about this subject.
''..What's so bad about them?'' Her curiosity of this grows inside her.
He shrugs. '' Everyone knows that they're harmful creatures.. That they're up for no good.''
'' Have you ever met one Daren? '' She asked him.
He shooks his head again. '' No, and I'm happy about it. Have said that one of them actually owns this forest. That's why we shouln't make a ruckys in here.''
'' I see..'' Marina wasn't sure anymore about what to say. She looked up at the sky, wanting to escape the eye contact. As the first thing she noticed was the sky being sweetly yellowish.
'' I should keep going.'' Daren noted.
'' Why can't I come with you?'' Tightining her grib.
'' I'm a lone wolf.. And besides you're a human. That might bring some trouble later. I don't need that now.'' He explained it to her straight.
''But...'' She tried, but in vain.
''Take care. I hope we'll meet again. I'm sure we'll.'' He glansed at her the last time, before leaving.
She lost her grib of him. She became more scared of what's going to happen now. She never liked to be alone in unknown places. After she even noticed, he was gone. She really did hope to meet him again, soon. She gathered her braveness and stood up. the grass on her feet felt great. She didn't mind..
She was on her own now. She was still little scared. But the place she was in now, was calming her. She took her school bag from the ground, wiped the dust and dirt out of it.
She walked the path of mix of green and yellow. On her way she saw some signs that said silly things. She haven't seen any animal or bird on her way, what made her wonder. This world seemed different on that what she was used to. The town she's been living in doesn't really have forests. She loved the bright colors, but it felt like she would have been walking for hours. Time in this place runs slow maybe.
As she neared the end of it she didn't expect a small bridge. There was small lake under it, that water run sideways to elsewhere. The water looked so fresh, just by looking at it made her thirsty.
'' Would it be good..'' She wondered.
And gave it a shot. She put her hands together to make it a small pow, to get some cold water on and lifted it near her face to drink it. It was tasty, even though water doesn't taste like anything. After that she looked at her reflection that was quite burry, it was hard to see it stable since the water was running. ''Oh well..''
She kept walking, trying to keep some kind of smile on her face. And to be optimistic that everything's going to be OK. The path seemed endless...
But just after she was losing her hope she saw a mansion. That was out of nowhere. She walked little more closer, having some curiosity. The mansion didn't really fit on the bright colors of flowers and trees. The whole nature. Well it was just her opinion. Like it would even really matter.
She walked to it's door, trough the garden. She gathered some of her braveness and knocked on the door. ''....'' Waiting for a moment. She didn't seem to get her answer. It did had some kind of sign next to the door, that said; '' Need a place? If your lost. Ring the bell. -> Don't be shy.'' Marina really wasn't sure about it. But she really didn't have many choises. And she was growing tired.. So she ring the bell. Waiting for someone to open the door.
'' I hope people here are friendly..'' '
